Diagonal NOTD

Monday, 19 March 2012

I don't normally paint my nails very often, as I have clinic most days, and I rarely ever do nail art as I am not creative or precise enough to do it! However, last week I decided to not only paint my nails, but also do some nail art. It isn't anything special or complicated, but I really like the way it turned out and thought I'd share it:

Firstly I painted 1 coat of Nails Inc 'Piccadily Circus', allowed it to dry fully and then I stuck cellotape over the nails diagonally. I probably could have angled it better on some nails (e.g. my middle finger), but I don't mind that it's not 100% perfect. That's what practice is for! Then I painted 1 coat of Models Own 'Champagne', although I probably should have done 2 coats... Allow this to dry fully before removing the cellotape, as it could end up a big mess if you remove it too early!

Are you a fan of nail art/designs?

Thank you for reading. xoxo, Joy

  1. That's gorgeous! I would never think to do that on my nails although I think I have that polish :). http://www.j2en.blogspot.co.uk/

  2. I love this look! When I use tape I always remove it straight away and never have any problems, haven't managed to use it diagonally on my nail though :) xx
